Ratification of the 2024 Financial and Administrative Report and Endorsement of the 2025 Work Plan and Budget

Ramallah, December 29, 2024 – The Board of Directors of the Palestinian Maintenance Fund held a meeting chaired by His Eminence Dr. Mahmoud Al-Habbash, Supreme Shari’a Judge of Palestine and Chair of the Fund’s Board.
The Board discussed the dire situation in the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to a campaign of genocide by Israeli occupation forces for over a year and four months, resulting in catastrophic humanitarian conditions. The Chair stressed the need for the Fund to resume operations in Gaza immediately after the end of the war, in order to support Palestinian families and strengthen their resilience.
The meeting included a presentation of the Fund’s 2024 Financial and Administrative Report, highlighting key achievements such as disbursements to beneficiaries, financial collections, and legal and enforcement measures. The Board also discussed challenges faced by the Fund during the year, including the ongoing occupation and the political and economic constraints impacting legal enforcement.
General Director Ms. Fatima Al-Mo’taqat presented the Fund’s development efforts in 2024, which included upgrading digital infrastructure, automating internal processes, and launching the Fund’s newly designed website at the start of 2025.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Board approved the 2024 Financial and Administrative Report and endorsed the proposed work plan and budget for 2025. The Board also emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships with governmental and non-governmental institutions to ensure that the Fund’s services reach all eligible beneficiaries across the country.
